- ¥17,000 Re-releases include ... 5022-3 Ohane25 series PC (Gold line) - ¥1,2,000 3rd March 2005 Kato will release the Diotown accessory set #2 on the 8th March, and the 205-3000 series EC Hachiko line set on the 10th March. Due in mid March will be the new 205 Yamanote line EC sets, and in late march, the 787 Relay Tsubame, 189 Grade Up Asama sets, and the 'Sayonara Asakaze' passenger set. The first in a new series of old style wooden buildings, will be released in May. Tomix have announced that they too, like Kato, will release a 'Sayonara Asakaze' passenger set later this year. 1st March 2005 Kato will release 4 new sets of figures, to complement some of the new Diotown city accessory sets ... 24-230 People shopping #1 24th February 2005 Tomy have updates many of their pages, showing more details of some future releases ... only example of this series that ran in Kyushu, and has had variations
16 years. The 'View Coaster Kazekko' is an open sided tourist train that runs around the Tohoku area, and the model will have etched side panels. 2nd March 2005 Tomix released the two passenger sets - 92278 14.15 series PC Suisei, and 92763 14.15 series PC Akatsuki sets. Kato released The JR East version of the EF81 EL, the 7 car 'D' storage case, and the first two in the Diotown street accessory sets. 24th February 2005 Tomix released the High Grade 92281 183 series EC Maizuru and 92282 183 series EC Tanba sets. They re-released the 2103 ED76-1000 EL & the 2109 EF66 EL. Kato released the later version blue EF58 EL and Kato News #95. 22nd February 2005
Kato releases the Aichi Loop line 2000 series EC 2 car set, as well as fresh copies of their latest catalog. 18th February 2005 In a quicker than expected release, the new Modemo Enoshima 300 series sets are now out.

Greenmax released the first of the Kintetsu ACE sets. It looks very nice and we will have a review shortly. Kato re-released the 700 series TEC sets, and the main set has a new sticker sheet that enables you to reproduce the 'Ambitious Japan' logos used recently. However photos I have seen so far look terrible, as it really looks like a sticker about a prototype 6" thick on the side :-( 16/17th February 2005 The MicroAce releases for this month are now out. 16th February 17th February

In this issue are full details of releases like the M250 Super Rail Cargo, 800 series Kyushu Shinkansen, the EF58-60 EL, 185 series new colour Odoriko sets, 651 Super Hitachi, 700 series TEC with 'Ambitious Japan' logo, as well as previews of the JRE EF81 EL, 787 Relay Tsubame, Aichi Loop 2000, 205-3000 Hachiko line EC, 205 Yamanote line EC, 'Sayonara Asakase' & 189 Grade Up Asama. Also the usual layout plans, scenery tips, and DCC information. Greenmax 4023 Kintetsu 22000 series EC 4 car set 'ACE'
This is latest in the line of Greenmax's ready-to-run series, and is a model of the latest express train ruin buy the Kintetsu Railway ('Kinki Nippon') in the Osaka area. It is also available as a 2 car powered set, and a 2 car unpowered set. The car bodies are orange, with a very dark purple window band area. This window molding doesn't not seem to fit very snugly in the body side. The roof and underbody details are gray and the roof air conditioning ducts are a lighter gray. The powered car uses the new Greenmax powered chassis, which is lower than the previous full-bodied version, but not as low as the Tomix or Kato, so is still slightly visible though the car windows. Because of this, there is very little interior detail, as all the cars seem to use the same interior molding. The sound of the mechanism is quite loud, so nothing has changed there from the old version !!! It does run quite smoothly though, and the head/tail lights are reasonably bright. The bogies have silver wheels. The cars are fitted with the provision for Tomix TN couplers and interior lighting. There are sheets of rub-on car numbers, and destination stickers, and a couple of small parts to add to the roof. The set comes in Greemax's new 4 car case, which is very similar in size to the Kato 4 car case, but is hard plastic and clips together like the MicroAce cases. However it is very Japanese, and opens from the 'wrong' side !!! If you are interested in the latest trains from the Osaka area, this one will be of interest.

Tomix 92263 JR EF210 Container train set This is about the most up-to-date freight set you could get - it contains the latest version of the EF210 EL - the '100' subseries with single arm pantographs, and 2x the new Koki1110 container wagons, each with 4x 24A type containers. The Koki 110 is very similar to the Koki 106, but yellow, and the 24A is the only 15 ft container around at the moment. This is a specially packed set, and the items are not available separately. Special price for this month for this 3 car set will be A$120.00. The normal retail would be A$150.00 and the MSRP is A$175.00. Stocks of these monthly specials will be limited, and will be sold on a 'first paid - first allocated' basis.
